HR Benefits Coordinator needed in San Antonio
Position Summary: This position is responsible
for performing human resource related duties at the administrative level of
benefits.
Tasks:
·
Responsible for the initial intake of all e-mail and electronic correspondence
(including scans and faxes) for the HR Benefits and Leaves Administration
inbox.
·
Responsible for answering all general inquiries about benefits, leaves, FMLA,
and any other benefits, including calls from vendors, carriers, and local,
state and federal agencies.
·
Timely process of employee benefits by verifying and entering benefits into
HRIS (UltiPro).
·
Completes and responds to National Medical Child Support Orders and providing
applicable notification to the EE.
·
Processes both the enrollments and terminations in the on-line benefit
enrollment platform as applicable.
·
Responsible for scheduling and distributing benefit information to all newly
eligible employees.
·
Responsible for initiating actions online in UltiPro Benefit Administration for
all employees who become newly eligible for benefits in order to provide the
opportunity for employee enrollment in desired insurance plan(s).
·
Responsible for processing all COBRA benefits and investigating any COBRA
related issues.
·
Process, audit, and forward to A/P monthly carrier statements/ invoices for
processing and payment in a timely and efficient manner.
·
Assist with outgoing correspondence.
·
Respond to and assist employees across all locations and organization levels
with benefit related questions and inquiries in a courteous and prompt manner.
·
Effectively coordinate, communicate and otherwise interact with members of HR,
Finance, and IT to promote efficient and accurate management of employee
benefit programs.
·
Organize special projects which may include, but are not limited to annual
health and wellness projects and events.
·
Observe confidentiality policies at all times.
·
Comply with federal, state, & company policies, procedures, and
regulations.
·
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:
·
High school diploma or GED required.
·
Must have at least six months clerical experience in a high volume professional
office setting in either Human Resources or Employee Benefits preferred.
·
Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with peers.
·
Ability to manage a fast paced, high volume environment within strict deadlines
independently with minimal supervision.
·
Computer knowledge and experience: must demonstrate competence with office
applications, specifically MS Word and Excel, and have the ability to readily
learn agency specific software.
